No To PM, Rahul Gandhi Roadshows In Ahmedabad, Cops Cite Law And Order

 

AHMEDABAD:  Roadshows of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Ahmedabad tomorrow have been denied permission by the police, who have cited security and public inconvenience.

There was a possibility of some overlap between PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi's roadshows, say officials.

"One of the two roadshows could have created law and order issues since the routes in mutual conflict," said sources.

Both roadshows would have passed crowded areas, which would have caused major inconvenience to people.

Tomorrow is the last day of campaigning for the second round of voting in Gujarat.

The results will be announced on December 18.
